Carl Loera, PT, DPT, owner and clinical supervisor of Washington Physical Therapy.

Dr. Loera received his doctorate of Physical Therapy from University of Saint Augustine. He is licensed in the state of Washington and is fully fluent in Spanish.

His areas of specialization include rehabilitation of sports injuries, manual physical therapy of the spine and extremities, industrial injury rehabilitation, and rehabilitation of the spine. He has developed innovative treatment programs and has demonstrated exceptional clinical, management, and program development skills.

Dr. Loera is an avid outdoor sports enthusiast, enjoying wakeboarding in the summer, snowboarding and skiing in the winter, road cycling in the fall, and working out vigorously in between. In 2002 he was selected to be part of the Downhill race course crew during the 2002 Winter Olympics. He is certified as Golf fitness instructor by the Titleist Performance Institute.

Where are you from?
I grew up in the Yakima Valley. I’m a “Valley boy!”

I attended Yakima Valley College, Green River Community College and University of Washington. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Washington. I went onto attend the University of Saint Augustine in St. Augustine, Florida where I received my Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy in 2012.

Favorite activities?
Being a private pilot and enjoys flying by instruments, he enjoys playing guitar and taught himself to play blues harmonica. He loves mogul skiing.

Favorite color?
Currently black, but sometimes it’s white

Cat or Dog person?
I am basically a dog kind of guy” (German Shepherds) but we do have a black cat as a pet

If I could travel anywhere, it would be . . .
If I could travel anywhere it would be first to Jerusalem to take in the sites where Jesus of Nazareth traveled and ministered, then Rome and Paris.
