The Fitness Center Facility
THE FITNESS CENTER at Washington Physical Therapy is staffed by a team of experienced health and fitness specialists who work with members to manage a broad range of health concerns. This is accomplished through selected activities and general education in nutritional guidelines tailored to individual needs and capabilities.
Programs in wellness, weight loss, and staying fit are available at THE FITNESS CENTER. THE FITNESS CENTER offers strength-training equipment, cardiovascular equipment, and other state-of-the–art exercise equipment, including treadmills, ergocycles, arc trainers, and a variety of Cybex selectorized strengthening equipment. Members are given a fitness program and equipment orientation during their first visit. Individual training programs are also available to help you achieve your goals.
THE FITNESS CENTER also includes both men’s and women’s separate private locker rooms for our members. The locker rooms have secure key lock lockers, along with showers, changing stations, and full sink and mirror space. We welcome you to come in and take a tour of our facility.

- Personal training – One-on-one sessions with a Fitness Trainer to help achieve fitness goals. A customized fitness program is developed for the participant that includes education and guidance on proper nutrition, cardiovascular exercise, resistance training, and other fitness programs
- Nutritional education – One-on-one consultation with a Fitness Specialist and lasts about one hour. Learn basic nutritional guidelines concerning food preparation, fat intake, metabolism, and calories
- Body composition – We offer a new innovative technique of testing body composition (percentage of body fat and lean mass) through electrical impulses. No more skin pinching! It’s accurate, easy, and takes no time at all!
- Circuit training – Circuit training is a combined strength and cardiovascular conditioning program. The idea is to progress through a series of selected exercises and activities. This 30-45 minute class is designed for people with limited time, who need a quality and complete workout (no charge for members).
THE FITNESS CENTER at WPT offers an established Health and Wellness Program to promote and improve general health and well-being from a preventative perspective.
Our Health and Wellness Program focuses on:
- Reducing injuries
- Improving physical fitness and functional ability at home or work
- Managing/reducing the health risks associated with elevated cholesterol, high blood pressure, obesity, and diabetes.
Our team of physical therapists and fitness specialists work with each individual and their physician, if needed, to develop a health enhancement program that is safe, medically sound, and effective. This is accomplished through selected activities and general education in nutritional guidelines tailored to individual needs and capabilities. Our Health & Wellness Program encourages each individual to take responsibility for their own health.
